Important: Changes to Age Brackets

Starting fall 2026, our leagues are transitioning to a new age bracket structure. Previously, teams were organized strictly by birth year (e.g., all 2013s together). The new league rules divide age groups based on a split-year format that emulates the players’ grade levels:

• The New Rule: An age group will now consist of players born between January 1 and July 31 of one year, combined with players born between August 1 and December 31 of the prior year.
• Example: A child born in October 2013 would technically be placed in a U13 bracket, while their current teammate born in February 2013 would move to U14.

Our Approach: Keeping Teams Together

We understand that chemistry and friendships are the heart of travel soccer. For our established, existing teams, our primary goal is to keep current rosters together.

While the league rules are changing, we are permitted to have players “play up” into an older bracket. Unless a parent specifically requests to “hold back” their child to play in their newly designated league age bracket, we will assume that younger players wish to continue playing up with their current teammates. We believe this continuity provides the best environment for player development and team success. Newly formed teams coming out of our Recreational League will adhere to the new format moving forward, which aims to keep children together with other children in their school grade age range.
